Areas of Practice

Estate Planning

I work closely with my clients to create estate planning documents unique to their situation. Whether your goals are simply to avoid the probate court or develop complex tax strategies, I can provide the documents necessary to ensure a lasting legacy. These documents often include a Will, Trust, Powers of Attorney, Ladybird Deed, Irrevocable Trust, Special Needs Trust or any combination thereof.

Whether you wish to provide for an individual or child with special needs, keep funds in trust for your children or even set aside funds for beloved pets, we can work together to make sure your wishes are formalized in the proper estate planning documents.

Probate Administration

If a loved one has passed and they have left assets needing probate court administration, I will ensure the proper documents are filed with the court and all necessary deadlines are met to maintain the probate estate.

Losing a loved one is a devastating experience and my goal is to make the often complicated process of opening a probate estate as easy as possible.

Trust Administration

Even if all of the proper estate planning documents are in place, losing a loved one is a difficult time. I will assist in the administration of the trust assets in order to ensure the smooth and timely distribution of assets. We will work together to ensure that all legal requirements are met with regard to payment of final expenses, notification of beneficiaries and any tax reporting.

Charitable Foundations

If you do not wish individuals as beneficiaries of your estate plan, I can assist in creating a non-profit charitable foundation so that your legacy can benefit your favorite charity(ies) throughout a series of years post death.

Taxes

Questions are bound to arise with regard to taxes surrounding estate planning, transferring assets to your beneficiaries, etc. I will discuss the potential tax implications of any and all estate planning and post death inheritance as well as assist in filing any necessary estate or trust tax returns.
